A Histopathological description
Haired skin: the epidermis has a foal subcorneal pustule, which contains abundant viable and degnerated neutrophils and individual, round to polyhedral keratinocytes with distinct cell borders and a viable nucleus (acantholytic cells).  In other areas the epidermis is covered by serocellular (mainly neutrophilic) crusts,  Stratum spinosum is mildly thickened (acanthosis) and there is mild proliferation of basal cells.  The superficial and deep dermis containsa perivascular infiltrate composed of neutrophils and eosinophils with fewer lymphocytes.

 

B Morphological diagnosis
Dermatitis, intraepidermal, pustular, neutrophilic, with acantholytic cells, multifocal, moderate

 

C Name the disease
Pemphigus foliaceous
