OUR COLLEGE

The European College of Veterinary Pathologists (ECVP) was established in 1995 to advance veterinary pathology. Its purpose is to promote  teaching, research and practice of anatomic veterinary pathology to highest standards. Specialised veterinary pathologists deliver excellence services relating to animal health to the public, governmental and non-governmental institutions and increase the prestige of the veterinary profession.
The mission of the ECVP is to accredit, maintain and promote European specialists in veterinary pathology at the highest level.
The ECVP establishes criteria for training and experience to qualify as a specialist and encourages veterinarians entering veterinary pathology to acquire training and competence based on approved standards. Those who meet the standards of training and competence established by the College will be awarded a Diplomate status. A list of Diplomates is maintained for guidance of institutions and the public on the EBVS website. ECVP Diplomates maintain their Diplomate status by committing to their own Continuing Professional Development.
