Animal: Adult, female goat. 

Organ: Caecum. 

Diagnosis: Multifocal to coalescing, moderate, acute to subacute, fibrinonecrotizing typhlitis. 

History and findings: The goat suffered from diarrhea and anorexia. The jejunum, ileum and the caecum were filled with a light yellowish liquid content. Subtle plicae formation was noted. At the level of the ileum, there was evident necrosis with hemorrhage of the Peyer’s patches. The mesenteric and ileocecal lymph nodes were enlarged and edematous. 

Etiology: Yersinia pseudotuberculosis.
